Abstract:

This paper proposes exact and/or approximate formulae for the Laplace-Stieltjes transforms of interdeparture time distributions in M/G/1 systems with non-preemptive priority discipline. These formulae are intended mainly for two-moment approximations in the context of computer models of queueing networks. The predictive value of the approximate ones is validated by simulation.
