We are going to consider general problems of Statistical Decision Making and Inference, when the available experimental information is not necessarily exact. The formulation of these problems on the basis of the concept of ‘fuzzy information system’ (H. Tanaka, T. Okuda and K. Asai) and the definition of the ‘probability of a fuzzy event’ due to L.A. Zadeh, allows us to extend the basic notions, procedures and results in the nonfuzzy problems (problems with exact information) to the problem herein considered.
