In this paper, a special class of constrained nonlinear programs, which arise in multiperiod coal blending problem, is introduced. An algorithm to solve these nonlinear programs is presented. The convergence of the algorithm is analysed. The quality of solution, produced by the algorithm, for real world coal blending problems is discussed. Numerical examples are provided.
