A multifactor optimal planning problem with decreasing cost function

The problems considered here arise in constructing optimal plans for the production and production preparation of sophisticated items, where the specific amount of labor needed to produce one unit of the product depends on several kinds of auxiliary equipment and decreases as their production volume grows. In this note the authors propose an efficient algorithm for constructing optimal plans in both the absence and presence of prescribed constraints on the length of the planning period and constraints on the resources associated with the total amount of auxiliary equipment of all kinds.
