OPT came into the production and inventory management world with some fairly aggressive claims. Now that some of the shock waves have subsided, how much different is OPT from MRP? Could an experienced MRP user adjust his MRP system to do some of the same things OPT does? This article describes the process of using MRP to emulate OPT features.
