In the world of corporate downsizing and government cutbacks, the ability to measure an entity's efficiency is increasing in importance. Researchers have used many statistical techniques to measure efficiency and the factors that influence it. This paper is a review of the statistical techniques used in previous research and an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of each statistical method.
