I develop here a new approach to the estimation of productivity coefficients and compare efficiencies based on the previous modeling of a production function. An iterative algorithm for the estimation of the production function coefficients is built and applied in a case of academic evaluation. Theoretical problems related to the choice of evaluation criteria as well as practical aspects of the initialization procedure and of the identification of units of worst fit are also considered from a new point of view.
