In this paper a general multicommodity intertemporal spatial price equilibrium model is introduced with discounting. This model contains as special cases many of the static and dynamic models studied earlier. Then the variational inequality formulation is given of the governing equilibrium conditions over a Cartesian product of sets. Furthermore a Gauss-Seidel serial linearization decomposition scheme is proposed by commodities. The computational results demonstrate that large-scale multicommodity equilibrium problems over space and time can be efficiently solved in seconds of cpu time on state-of-the-art computer systems.
