A deterministic user equilibrium model is presented for predicting the temporal distribution of demand for scheduled public transport along a corridor during the peak period. The model mainly considers the case of several origins and one destination and is extended to solve multiple destination problems. It can be used to study the impacts of flexible work start times, and of public transport schedules, on the distribution of demand. The model can also be extended to the applications of elevators, mine shafts, etc. Hypothetical examples are presented. The results of the examples indicate that the model performs in accordance with intuition.
