The author writes: It was with considerable amusement that I noticed a recent flyer from ORSSA for a one day workshop on ‘Marketing Operations Research’. The brochure contained some amusing but painful truths such as ‘Most O.R. Practitioners experience difficulty in marketing O.R.’ For those of you who did
