In production planning, managers of a manufacture firm need to make a crucial decision on which specific aggregate levels of production, inventory and work force have to be produced to meet possible demands. In this paper, the authors propose a model of aggregate production planning with multi-objective and multi-capacity-demand levels (multiple factors, in short) by using the well-known multi-criteria and multi-constraint level (MC2) linear programming. This production planning model provides the decision makers with a systematic an comprehensive scenario about all possible optimal trade-offs of aggregate production planning depending on the multiple factors. These trade-offs can be used as a basis for the decision makers to make a high-quality decision for implementing production planning over possible fluctuations of capacity and demand in terms of both production periods and situations.
