Abstract:

In this paper, the authors present both point estimation and confidence intervals of the truncated Poissonian queue M/M/2/N with balking and heterogeneous servers. They obtain pn the probability that there are n units in the system and some measures of effectiveness. The maximum likelihood point estimates for the parameters and confidence intervals for some measures of effectiveness are also derived.
