This paper considers three-unit reliability system. The operating unit is subject to random shocks which occur at random times and it can fail due to failure of the operating unit or due to shocks. The failure time of the operating unit and the repair time are exponentially distributed. The shock time obeys general distribution. In this paper, the mean time to system failure is studied and the figure of mean time to system failure against shock rate is drawn.
