A model of optimum operational regime of a mine hoisting system in a vertical shaft with the criterion of minimizing electric energy consumption subject to kinematic constraints, is analyzed and discussed in the paper. Solutions for an optimum three-period cycle covering unbalanced, balanced and overweight hoisting, restricted by velocity, acceleration, time of hoisting at a constant speed and the third derivative of distance per time, are proposed.
