Fuzzy modelling and its application to magnetic bearing systems

Fuzzy modelling is rule-based. This rule base is described by a certain system of fuzzy equations. In order to obtain an accurate fuzzy model, topics such as sufficient conditions for satisfying the boundary conditions, the behaviour of systems of fuzzy equations, the choice of a suitable t-norm t, and the adjustment of membership functions are discussed intensively in this paper. It is then applied to magnetic bearings without premagnetization.
