MicroWorld Creator, an interface design software, enables the novice to interact with simulations in an exploratory capacity. MicroWorld Creator facilitates experiental learning by making simulations more participatory in two important ways: it increases the user’s control over the input to the simulation, and it displays output in formats that are familiar to the user. The software encourages repeated exploration of simulation models by providing a consistent environment that enables simulation users to orient themselves quickly when moving from one simulation to the next and enables simulation developers to create different simulation interfaces in a short amount of time.
