A generalized strategy for optimal CO2 enrichment in a greenhouse is constructed in terms of general formulations of crop photosynthesis, crop dry matter and ventilation rates. The adopted strategy relaxes the constraints imposed by other optimized strategies such as those of a closed canopy and of a fixed dry weight at harvest.
