The problem of scheduling courses to lecturers or teachers is a perennial problem faced by faculties and schools. This paper looks at a goal programming model that maximizes the priorities of the faculty and the lecturers, without ignoring the needs of the faculty. This model was tested at the School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. A software package that includes facilities for easy data capture, the building of models, and output that are easily understood and ready for use was developed to solve this time tabling problem.
