Models and methods for location and routing decisions relating to hazardous materials

The location of obnoxious facilities and/or the routing of vehicles carrying hazardous materials give rise to problems which are inherently multi-objective in nature. Consequently, a brief account of relevant features of bicriterion problems is given. This is followed by reviews of location and routing problems separately and then the combined hazardous materials location/routing problem. Some possible directions for future research are indicated.
