A logistic regression function applied to the study of educational failure

This paper presents the main results of a study on the educational failure rate at the lower secondary level, using logistic regression as the approach methodology. The formulation and fitting of binary-choice models (logit) are carried out for several partitions of Portugal, until a single model for the entire Portuguese continent is obtained. The most significant variables are then systematically analysed, with the dual objective of interpreting and confirming the results of the models.
