The most common objective in vehicle routing problems dealt with in the literature consists of minimizing travel costs. Implemented solution methods are often incapable of handling different objective functions as well as various side constraints encountered in real world problems. In this paper the authors consider the problem of planning the intramurual transportation of goods at the Deutsche Lufthansa AG at the airport Frankfurt/Main by some simple heuristics. The influence of a combined objective considering minimization of transportation costs and maximization of service quality is investigated.
