The paper deals with the location-transportation problems for facilities, formulated as one-level and two-level location issues. The first of them is the capacitated problem and the solution method bases on specific feature of the objective function with Cherenin Property. The second one is the uncapacitated problem and the solution method is the improvement of the algorithm proposed by Kaufman, Eede and Hansen. This improvement enlarges the class of practical applications simultaneously improving the suboptimal solutions of this heuristic method. The software package of both algorithm called LOCAL-R, useful as the investment decision tool, is referred to.
