The graph model for conflicts is introduced as a flexible approach to real world disputes, together with necessary definitions and the representative solution concepts. The modelling and analysis stages are illustrated with the conflict over Canadian exports of softwood lumber to the U.S. Besides being a modelling and analytical tool the graph representation can also be used as the basis for a DSS in negotiations, either by the sides or by a mediator.
