On the existence of efficient points

In this note the authors study the existence of efficient points of a set X with respect to a cone C, by introducing the so-called quasi-C-bounded sets; relationships among C-compactness, C-boundedness and quasi-C-boundedness are studied in a systematic way, and new existence theorems are obtained which generalize some known results and which allow existence conditions for a vector optimization problem to be found.
