Abstract:

Assuming that the lifetime and repair rate of a one-unit system are a hyperexponential distribution and a constant, respectively, several measures of system performance are obtained by identifying the underlying stochastic process describing the behavior of the system as an alternating Renewal Process. Also, the expected total sojourn times in different states during (0,t) are obtained.
