Abstract:

In this paper, a Markovian general bulk service queueing system with vacation and additional server is considered. Whenever the number of customers in the queue is less than the quorum the regular server takes an exponential vacation. An additional server is introduced when the queue length exceeds a preassigned number. The steady state probability vector of the number of customers in the queue is obtained in modified matrix-geometric form. The stability condition is also obtained.
