Scheduling audit-staff

The auditor has to schedule audit-staff regarding precedence relations, resource restrictions as well as start times and deadlines of several engagements. Existing approaches are based on (more or less) restrictive simplifications. This paper presents an approach, which takes care of the constraints’ interdependencies without additional assumptions. Conceptually this approach combines assignment and resource-constrained project scheduling models. Computational results demonstrate the superior behaviour of the present approach.
