The paper faces the problem of planning Projects of high complexity, i.e. characterized by a high level of uncertainty of several elementary activities: from this results the impossibility to perform an operational deterministic planning. In solving this problem, at the first time an approach based upon stochastic planning represents the most effective choice in order to reduce uncertainty’s level. At the second time this approach is followed by an operational deterministic planning characterized by a low number of order’s ranks in conjunction with a high number of activities for each rank. Moreover the high risk’s degree is measured by analysing ad-hoc critical indexes in order to show the existence of different critical indexes in order to show the existence of different critical paths. The proposed model is completed by a real application regarding a recent Italian Complex Polifunctional Building Project.
