Abstract:

Degeneracy is a phenomenon which frequently occurs in integer linear optimization problems. Moreover, degeneracy may cause efficiency as well as convergence problems when simplex-based algorithms are used to solve linear subproblems associated with integer linear optimization problems. The purpose of this paper is to give a survey in the form of a bibliography when degeneracy occurs in various integer linear optimization problems (ILPs).
