The authors discuss the nature of 351 solid transportation problems of which some either (i) are infeasible or (ii) the problem can be solved by solving related solid transportation problem. The related problem is obtained by adding at most three new constraints to the original problem. The solution of the original problem is found out from the optimal tableau of the related problem. (The unboundedness of the objective function is discarded by taking all cost coefficients non-negative.)
