A monitoring processor in a circuit switched network is considered. Such a monitoring processor monitors communication links and offers a grade of service in each link to controller. Such information is useful for effective maintenance of the system. Two links with asymmetric system parameters and multi-symmetric-links are considered. Each link is to be an independent M/M/1/1 type. A Markov modelling technique is used to represent a model of monitoring processor with FCFS protocol. The performance measures considered are the ratio of monitored jobs in each link, availability of monitoring processor and throughput of virtual processor in each link. The values of the performance measures are compared with existing and simulation results. [In Korean.]
