Abstract:

This paper compares and analyses the quantitative and the qualitative assessments in a context of a multicriteria evaluation of projects. The quantitative and qualitative assessments are compared using two statistical tests. The statistical analysis reveals a high degree of coherence between the two types of assessments (quantitative and qualitative). A generalized formal model is then developed to study the coherence and applied to the assessments described above. Results are consistent with the above standard statistical analysis and seem to be more appropriate for the study of the coherence between quantitative and qualitative assessments.
